方回春堂志 Fang Hui Chun Tang Chronicle
方回春堂国药号创于清顺治六年（公元1649年）。故自立业之日起，悉遵古方精选各省道地药材，依法炮制门市饮片，虔修各类丸散膏丹，杜煎虎鹿甲驴诸胶。择料讲究，选工尽善，尤以秘制小儿回春丸，闻名杭城，老幼皆知，历时百余年矣。
迨至民国初年，籍杭城兴修第一条中山柏油大马路之机，延请能工巧匠，建造恢弘石库墙门，构筑两进二厅雕花楼堂，屋宇深邃，装熠富丽，两厢和合柜台，展示老店气派。且所制丸散饮片，形质精美，气味俱佳，时与庆余、种德、承志、同泰、泰山诸堂同称杭城药业"六大家"之美誉。
与庆余、种德在清河坊形成三足鼎立，竞争尤烈。是年店主人诚聘卢裕国为经理，杨树棠为帐房头儿，调整经营策略，由发卖门市饮片丸散为重点，转为拆兑（批发）、零售并举，服务于本地及外埠顾客和中小药店。所趸饮片、丸散、药材，照码七折八扣，深得客户信赖。至民国20年（公元1931年）销售额进10万元，居同业"六大家"之前列。
如今政通人和，百业兴旺，重振清河坊古韵，实是今人之重任。为发扬老店之美誉，集资数百万元人民币，整修方回春堂店屋，承先辈之仁德，创杭州方回春堂国医馆，冀期存心利济以为后世之德。

Fang Hui Chun Tang National Medicine House was established in the sixth year of the Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1649 AD). Since its founding, it has adhered strictly to classical prescriptions, meticulously selecting authentic herbs, and reverently compounding a range of pills, powders, ointments, and pellets. With rigorous attention to ingredient quality and excellence in craftsmanship, the establishment became particularly renowned for its Children’s Hui Chun Pills, known throughout Hangzhou for over a century.
By the early Republican era, the pharmacy engaged master artisans to erect an imposing stone gatehouse and a pavilion adorned with carved motifs. The structure was deep and spacious, reflecting the dignified bearing of a venerable institution. Its prepared medicines were noted for their refined form and excellent aroma, earning it recognition as one of Hangzhou’s "Six Leading Medicinal Houses".
At that time, the proprietor shifted the business strategy to combining wholesale distribution with retail, serving both local and distant clients. Wholesale medicines were offered at substantial discounts, winning deep trust. By 1931, annual sales reached 100,000 yuan, placing Fang Hui Chun Tang among the forefront of the industry.
In this era of enlightened governance, the revival of the historic charm of Qinghe Fang represents a profound cultural imperative. Building upon the benevolence of its forebears, the Hangzhou Fang Hui Chun Tang National Medicine House was founded, dedicated to preserving its commitment to healing for future generations.
